What happens if I am currently out of shape – can I still do Callanetics? Yes! The beauty of Callanetics is that it works for everyone, no matter their level of fitness. The key is start of slowly and work at your own pace and then as your body gets stronger and leaner, increase the intensity and difficulty level of the exercises. How often can I do Callanetics? Can I do the exercises every day? You can practice Callanetics as often as you like and the more advanced you get, the easier it will be to increase the frequency of your exercising. If you are a Callanetics beginner, it is advisable to allow a day or two of rest per week. This will allow your muscles to recover and provide your body with more energy to use on the days you do practise Callanetics. How often do I need to take Callanetics classes? If you take a Callanetics class twice a week you will see quick results. Obviously if you exercise less often, the results will come more slowly. I am pregnant - can I still do Callanetics? For most healthy pregnant women, regular exercise is encouraged throughout their pregnancy. As Callanetics is non-impact, it is just the sort of safe exercise programme that will help pregnant women feel toned, aligned and energised throughout their pregnancy. Also, the Callanetics pelvic floor exercises are great for preparing your body for giving birth and for helping repair your muscles once you’ve gone through labour. Not to mention toning up and losing those pesky baby inches! |
